Whither Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh?

Rarely do IAS or IPS officers hang their boots midstream in their career to follow their passions. Punjab had never seen it, perhaps, till 1998 batch IPS officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh put in his papers on April 11 after the Punjab and Haryana High Court struck down his investigation as the SIT chief in the Behbal Kalan firing case.
What will be future course of action of former Punjab police IG who basically hails from Bihar?

The grapevine has it that he might join the Aam Aadmi Party and contest the forthcoming Assembly elections. There are speculations that he might be working on his proximity to senior Congress leader Navjot Sidhu and senior BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla to chart the future course. Laxmi Kanta had ruffled political feathers in the state when she had a closed-door meeting with  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently.
Could he be BJP's trump card to build bridges with the Sikhs in the state?

A poster titled "Elaan-e-Jung" ( proclamation of war)  released by Vijay Kunwar Pratap on social media though gives no such indication yet reaffirms his resolve to carry on his "mission to bring to book the culprits in the Behbal Kalan firing incident."

While proclaiming that some leaders in the Sikh community are like termites who would not let justice come in the Behbal Kalana incident Singh declares that henceforth he would fight the case as a lawyer and would take up the cause of the poor and the downtrodden.

In the 19-point poster which is conspicuously silent about his political aspirations he has come down heavily on the battery of state counsels including Advocate General Atul Nanda for not standing by him during the course of his investigation in the incident.

Has Kunwar Vijay Pratap's aborted investigation endeared him to the Sikhs and would help him become popular among them ?  Will the case, on which he has staked his career as an IPS officer catapult him to political arenas ? Coming days would unfold it more clearly.
