Chandigarh, June 29:
Delhi Chief Minister and national convener of AAP Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that if his party was voted to power in the coming Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections every household would be entitled to 300 units of free power.

Launching an election campaign for his party Kejriwal also announced that an uninterrupted supply of power would be ensured in Punjab and payment of pending bills would be exempted.

He said power in Punjab was the most expensive in the country in spite of the fact that Punjab generates power and supplies to other states. People in Punjab have to pay through their nose simply because the government and the power generation companies have colluded to cheat the people.

Comparing the situation with Delhi, he said, Delhi does not generate power, yet the rates are one of the lowest in the country.
