"Fires AAP govt. for failing to give estimation of losses"

Chandigarh, Oct 15:

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a big initiative to help the flood-ravaged people of Punjab by sanctioning Rs 1.60 lakh apiece to more than 36,000 families.

In a statement Chugh came down heavily on the Bhagwant Mann government for its dismal failure to provide details of the losses suffered by Punjab during the unprecedented floods.

The AAP government's complete efficiency in this regard speaks volumes about the callousness it harbours for the state after looting it left and right< said Chugh.

Talking further on the Prime Minister's assistance to the state, Chugh said for farmers seeds worth Rs 74 crores would be provided free of cost to help farmers make up for the losses after their standing crops were destroyed.

In addition, more than Rs 12 lakhs have been transferred to the accounts of farmers directly in their bank accounts to help them salvage out the crisis.

This speaks eloquently about the Prime Minister's concern for Punjab farmers and its people to which the Bhagwant Mann government has been shockingly neglectful..
